Sevco are bracing themselves for an incredible £22m bid for Alfredo Morelos.

According to a report in The Sun, Chinese side Beijing Renhe are ready to make a fourth offer for the Columbian of £11m which would require a 100% transfer tax straight to the Chinese government.

Renhe signed their fourth foreign import, midfielder Augusto Fernandez from Athletico Madrid in a £2m deal last month but according to The Sun they are crazy about Alfie.

Last Sunday the chunky striker missed a sitter away to Ayr United which went viral but that hasn’t put off his admirers in China.

It seems that the offer of getting most of the fee upfront could convince the Ibrox board to sell the striker even though Graham Murty has insisted that he has the last say and that all decisions will be on footballing grounds.

Earlier this month Sevco had to offer Edmiston House and the iconic Albion Car Park as security on a £3m loan from Close Brothers in order to see out the season.

Should the £11m Alfie windfall come in it would allow the troubled club to pay off Close Brothers and get through to next Christmas without any outside financing.
