Stuart Armstrong is back in the Celtic squad to face Sevco on Sunday.
The midfielder had a hernia operation in January and has yet to kick a ball in anger this year.
It looked like the former Dundee United man wouldn’t be back until later in the month but speaking to Sky Sports today Rodgers had good news on Armstrong’s recovery.
Rodgers was asked about the fitness of Leigh Griffiths but volunteered the news that Armstrong is available again.

The Celtic boss said: “Leigh won’t be back but we do have got Stuart Armstrong back which is huge for us. He has been training and working really over the last number of weeks.
“We haven’t had a game to put him into but we played a practice match this week and he was outstanding.
“He is going to be very important for us now because of his ability to score goals, we’ve missed that with him being away. So that is great news for us, him coming back but it’s just too soon for Leigh.”
Armstrong scored in two derby matches last season and looks like being on the bench tomorrow at Ibrox.
