Scott Brown has killed off rumours that he could finish his playing days with Hibs.

In 2007 the midfielder made a £4.4m move along the M8 but has always been welcomed back at Easter Road.

Over the last couple of years Anthony Stokes, Liam Henderson and Scott Allan have all switched to the capital but after more than a decade with Celtic Brown can’t imagine playing for anyone else.

People always ask me, especially living in Edinburgh, if I’ll go back to Hibs one day,” he told Celtic TV.

I don’t see it. I enjoy being at Celtic, I couldn’t think of any other place to be just now.

For me, Peter (Lawwell) has been fantastic with me, the managers have been fantastic and to give something back whether it’s coaching or helping out the kids, it means a lot for me to still be here after ten years and hopefully I can push it for a few more.”

Under Ronny Deila Brown got involved with coaching the Celtic Development side but Brendan Rodgers has his full attention on first team matters.

The hoops skipper will be 33 in June but after retiring from international football has at least another two years at the top of his game.

While most of his team-mates have been scattered far and wide across Europe in international action Brown has enjoyed some golf before returning to action when Celtic face Ross County on Saturday.
