Eboue Kouassi helped the Ivory Coast u-23 side to a 5-0 win over Togo in a friendly.

The match was played in France to make travel easier for the European players and came four days after a friendly against local side Beauvais.

Kouassi was joined by Cedric Kipre of Motherwell who had his red card against Celtic overturned while on international duty.

After signing from Krasnodar in January 2017 Kouassi has had to be patient to get his chance in the Celtic midfield.

That opportunity appeared to open up following the winter break when he started both matches against Zenit St Petersburg but the return of Tom Rogic and Stuart Armstrong has reduced his opportunities.

Since the away match with Zenit the 20 year old hasn’t featured in the first team and could be sent out on loan next season.

Brendan Rodgers was ready to allow the midfielder to go out on loan in January but that plan was halted by the run of injuries that Celtic suffered.
