Sevco crashed to their SEVENTH home defeat of the season when Kris Boyd gave Kilmarnock full points at Ibrox today.

Just a week ago Sevco fans anticipated going top of the table at tea-time tonight but back-to-back defeats from Celtic and Kilmarnock have killed that notion stone dead.

With Aberdeen beating Dundee 1-0 at Pittodrie Derek McInnes’ side are just two points behind in third place with a game in hand over Sevco.

Graeme Murty had spent the week taking the positives out from the 3-2 defeat from Celtic but caused a shock in his team selection when Alfredo Morelos was dropped to the bench in place of Jason Cummings.

At half time Sean Goss was replaced by Jason Holt but in the 53rd minute Boyd scored his third goal of the season against the struggling tribute act.

Kenny Miller and Morelos were sent on to retrieve a point but the visitors held on comfortably to claim full points.

In midweek Killie had been taken to extra time and penalties before losing out to Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup.

Sevco are next in action away to Motherwell on March 31 following the international break.
