Moussa Dembele warmed up for Sunday by applauding Celtic’s u-17 squad for their 5-2 demolition job on Sevco.

Despite the obvious distractions of the Champions League the Celtic striker kept an eye out on the Glasgow Cup tie with Karamoko Dembele among the scorers.

It looked like being a rout when Scott Robertson and Paul Kennedy put the hoops 2-0 up after just ten minutes.

Ten minutes into the second half the Murray Park wonderkids were back on level terms but the young Celts took that set back on the chin.

Robertson restored Celtic’s lead just past the hour, Karamoko Dembele extended the lead in the 70th minute before Barry Coffrey completed the scoring with ten minutes left to play.

The win puts Celtic into top place in the round robin group with 10 points from 4 matches, 2 ahead of Queens Park with Sevco trailing in third with 4 points from 4 matches needing to win their last two games to have a chance of reaching the final.

Celtic have won the last four finals beating Sevco each time.
