Willie Collum will be in charge for Celtic’s potential title clincher away to Hibs on Saturday.

The Lanarkshire based official has had an erratic season summed up by his display in Celtic’s recent 3-2 win over Sevco at Ibrox.

It seemed that an amnesty had been called on shirt pulling in that match staring in the opening minutes when James Forrest twice had his jersey pulled in the build up to the opening goal from Josh Windass.

Sean Goss and Fabian Cardoso both escaped with just bookings for brutal attacks on Moussa Dembele and Kieran Tierney while Jozo Simunovic was red carded on the hysterical instructions of assistant ref Douglas Ross.

Since Brendan Rodgers took charge of Celtic only two players have been sent off- two of them by Collum.

Frank Connor, who was on duty on the North Stand side at Hampden for the 2015 Scottish Cup semi-final defeat from Inverness Caley Thistle, will be one of Collum’s assistants at Easter Road.

No Scottish referees have been selected for the World Cup Finals in Russia.
