Radio Scotland were met with a wall of silence as Kenny MacIntyre set up his ‘Old Firm’ post mortem on Monday night.
No Sportsound show ever seems complete without at least two former Ibrox stars with one usually the beneficiary of ‘EBT’ payments.
Lee McCulloch and Billy Dodds (with EBT) have recently been added to the regular cast-list that includes Steven Thompson (EBT), Kris Boyd (EBT), Barry Ferguson (EBT), Gordon Smith, Alex Rae (EBT) and Derek Ferguson.
All through last week they were on wall to wall talking up Sevco’s Hampden prospects with Dodds typically predicting a tight match that Celtic might nick in extra-time!
Two leading Rangers players to be suspended, one possibly never to play for the club again, and Ibrox in meltdown. This is now pushing @bbckennymac to the brink. Beeb, have an army of psychiatrists on standby…to the 4th floor, PQ, and quick!

Twenty-four hours after the pain of Hampden Radio Scotland had to turn to James McFadden and Michael Stewart to comfort a clearly emotional MacIntyre.
Radio Clyde has plenty of critics but Derek Johnstone rarely misses an appearance as he attempts to sooth punters into believing that the gap is closing despite the evidence suggesting that the gulf between the clubs is actually greater than at any time over the last six years.
UPDATE: Tuesday’s studio guests were former Hibs striker Tam McManus, former Hearts boss Robbie Neilson and Ayr United boss Ian McCall.
