Taking the BBC to task has become a favoutite task of social media with much more important targets than the Sports Department of BBC Scotland.

Back in February Kheredine Idessane performed an incredible u-turn after breaking rank to reveal that there was no Chinese interest in Alfredo Morelos.

Idessane, essentially the Andy Murray reporter. Used some Chinese contacts to try and firm up news about the £11m fantasy and had the story laughed out of town. For no apparent reason he later ‘corrected’ his initial tweet although he refused to delete the tweet rubbishing the transfer story.

Yesterday on Sportscene Jonathan Sutherland strayed into waters that someone high up at the BBC didn’t want aired- protest banners from fans at Ibrox.

Reviewing the action from the 2-1 win over Hearts Sutherland brought up the subject then in mid sentence hesitated and went back to discussing the goal scored by Hearts.

Whether BBC Scotland likes it or not some Sevco fans have finally picked up on the fact that their club is utterly leaderless with empty vessels in blazers filling the blue room.

On the park that has created a shambles with younger players bailing out at the first opportunity while more experienced names contribute little other than drawing out their salaries.

Off the park things are much much worse but that’s not for viewers in Scotland who are getting warned about the dangers of the Russia Today television station.
