Lewis Morgan has revealed that he went almost unrecognised watching Celtic beat Sevco at Ibrox last month.

The winger joined Celtic in January but was immediately sent back to St Mirren on loan where he helped the Paisley side to clinch promotion.

Joining Celtic has had little effect on the winger who is expected to win the PFA Scotland Championship Player of the Year award.

Stepping up to challenge for a place in the Celtic side is a massive leap for the Scotland u-21 internationalist but he has been doing his homework on the hoops.

Ally McCoist decided to release Morgan as a teenager but the winger was back at Ibrox recently cheering his new team-mates as they took a big step towards clinching the Premiership title.

I went to the Anderlecht game and I was also at Ibrox for the last Old Firm game,” he told The Sun.

I was in with the fans at Ibrox, the atmosphere was great. It was the same for the Champions League game.

To be fair, I wasn’t really recognised when I went to Ibrox. One or two guys did spot me but I was in an area with other families.

A club like Celtic has a massive following, passionate supporters and players will get adulation if things are going well.”

Morgan will return to Celtic for pre-season training in June after signing a four and a half year contract with the hoops back in January.
