Days after having his touchline ban halfed to just a one match ban Neil McCann has warned Tommy Wright that he isn’t welcome at Dens Park.

McCann had a furious exchange with three St Johnstone employees last month which saw him raise his hands to substitute goalkeeper Zander Clark then wait in the tunnel to confront the Saints players after his side had lost 4-0.

The SPFL computer has matched the two clubs up again tomorrow at Dens Park with the home side’s manager in no mood to forgive or forget.

Asked if he would be speaking to Wright, McCann told The Sun: “Absolutely not. I have no intention to speak to him at all. He is not welcome around here. I have read his comments, so no.

Maybe if I said something he’d go back and tell the referee like he did last time, so better off not talking to him.”

Those comments ought to interest the SFA but having got off with a one match suspension for publicly confronting three opponents a comment in a pre-match media conference is unlikely to be punished.

Dundee go into tomorrow’s match five points ahead of bottom placed Partick Thistle but eight behind St Johnstone.

In the final round of fixtures on May 12 Dundee are at home to Thistle.
