By nature managers are a loyal breed with Brendan Rodgers no exception.

Last season’s Invincible squad will always be regarded as special with the players that clinched the Scottish Cup in dramatic circumstances at Hampden writing their way into the history books.

Scott Sinclair won every Player of the Year Award going but 11 months later there won’t be any sentiment in Rodgers’ team lines for Sunday’s match with Sevco.

The former Aston Villa man has had a hot and cold season and looks like starting Sunday’s match watching from the bench in some not too shabby company.

Kieran Tierney’s return to full fitness and Callum McGregor’s head for the big occasion are expected to be given the nod as Celtic look to move to 90 minutes away from another treble.

When Tierney is on form he is effectively a wing-back which will curb the attacking instincts of James Tavernier who is Sevco’s most creative force.

McGregor can play a variety of roles, rarely gives the ball away and knows how to find the back of the net- three qualities that any manager will have in his team.

The Celtic bench will be ooxzing with creativity and options but Rodgers will be expecting his starting XI to ensure that the domestic season reaches it’s finale at Hampden on May 19.
