The former Dundee United midfielder is generally regarded as one of the quieter players in the Celtic squad but that image was kicked into touch yesterday.
When Andrew Davies put the boot into Brown it triggered a switch with Armstrong. Scott Sinclair barely broke his stride, Tom Rogic gestured towards referee Steven McLean but Armstrong raced in, hurdled over a Ross County player and headed for Davies with McLean half a step behind.
The motivation and spirit of the Celtic squad has been questioned this season, after yesterday it looks like the whole squad is in it together with Armstrong at the front of the queue if anyone wants to take liberties with his skipper.
