Josh Windass has emerged from his sick bed to fore some ‘friendly’ banter at Gary Ralston of the Daily Record.

Despite being the joint top goalscorer at Ibrox the former Accrington starlet is the regular target for abuse especially on social media.

Ralston voiced the concerns of many Ibrox fans during a recent Record Rangers podcast when he stated that Windass was the Hide and Seek Champion of Scottish football,

News of that comment reached the midfielder who couldn’t hold back as he showed off to his 65,000 twitter followers.

Ralston cut his journalistic teeth at the Rangers News in the late eighties before leaving to join The Sun and has been with the Daily Record for over a decade pulling off a number of scoops.

In 2015 when the Record was banned from Ibrox for supporting Dave King’s takeover Ralston defied the ban by reporting on an abandoned match against Hearts from the executive section of the Bill Struth Stand.

Once King grabbed control the ban on the Record was lifted with Paul Murray praising their courageous journalism.

Windass is expected to miss Saturday’s game at home to Dundee after picking up a knock during the 2-2 draw at Motherwell.
