BT Sport’s coverage of Celtic’s 3-1 win over Hearts at Tynecastle took a hammering from angry hoops supporters.
Ally McCoist and Stephen Craigan were the main culprits with their ambivalent attitude to the brutality from the home side and grudging praise for the champions.
When Steven Naismith deliberately put his boot into Scott Brown’s groin as the Celtic skipper went into a slide tackle there was barely a word of condemnation. It was a straight red card offence that Bobby Madden allowed to go unpunished.
31 minutes in and he hasn’t even been booked! Absolute dirty wee bastard! pic.twitter.com/3yhoosfosC

BT is practically unwatchable with these two cretins co-commentating. Craigan is bad enough. McCoist takes it to a whole new depth on brutal. Makes me yearn for the days of Craig Burley.

This is like watching Rangers TV. https://t.co/jfpxP6YSpX

McCoist “its a scandalous decision, it’s a goal all day”.
McCoist “ I’ll need to see the tackle on Scott Brown again”.
In depth neutral punditry @btsportfootball

Craigan and McCoist absolutely awful.

Hard to know what’s worse here
Naismith thuggery , Madden refereeing or McCoist commentary

Craigan and McCoist having a wee chuckle about Naismith stamping on Broonie. Everything wrong with Scottish football there.

McCoist has gone full Sevco today.

couldn’t stomach McCoist commentary switched to Celtic TV way better coverage, also sick of the Ann Budge wonderful job garbage, she should take a look at her fans, what a despicable bunch

McCoist was able to call Hearts knocked off goal a “scandalous decision” but when straight up asked about Naismith’s challenge he literally didn’t reply.

When wee Naisy then went over the ball into the ankle of James Forrest there was the same reaction.
Possible transfers of Tom Rogic and Moussa Dembele were discussed with enthusiasm with little mentioned to support the prospect of both players staying at Celtic.
When Celtic did score the first observations were to criticise the Hearts defending, only later was the quality of the scorers recognised.
