Paddy Roberts made an emotional farewell to Celtic this afternoon.
For two and a half years the Londoner has been at the heart of the Celtic support with his skills and trickery a throwback to the man voted as the Greatest Ever Celt.
A hamstring injury and the outstanding form of James Forrest severely curtailed his influence this season but Celtic fans love an entertainer.

For this afternoon’s Scott Brown testimonial Brendan Rodgers was able to select a not too shabby front line of Mikey Johnston, Roberts and Scott Sinclair supporting Leigh Griffiths.
Johnston certainly impressed down the right, combining the trickery of Roberts with the pace and aggression of James Forrest.
Just past the hour mark Roberts drew Celtic level with a simple shot that took a deflection but that didn’t detract from his joy at signing off with a goal.
Ten minutes later it was over, he heard the cheers of the Celtic support for the last time.
Roberts’ future is uncertain but his place in the affection of Celtic fans isn’t up for debate.
