Sevco have downgraded their moonbeams to Cummings scale.
Last week’s Stevie G fervour had Fernando Torres heading up the revolution but even free agents Scott Arfield and Allan McGregor have still to sign up for their dream moves.
According to the Daily Express, Director of Football Mark Allen has opened talks with Nottingham Forest to sign Jason Cummings although a season long loan deal seems more likely.
The fun loving striker has managed just one goal in the SPFL, plus an assist off Harry Souttar, since joining Graeme Murty’s January revolution.
To accommodate Cummings, Sevco would almost certainly have to sell Alfredo Morelos or Eduardo Herrera but both of those strikers are on long term deals.
Cummings scored freely for Hibs in the Championship for three seasons but following an £800,000 move to Nottingham Forrest he struggled to make an impact before being made available to go out on loan under new manager Aitor Karanka.
It’s unlikely that the former Hibs striker is listed in Gerrard’s contact book suggesting that Allen is the driving force behind transfer deals.
