Sky Sports have failed to correct a comment that Celtic spent £70m last season on their team!

For reasons best known to themselves the satellite broadcaster decided to interview Mark Dingwall for his thoughts on the Gerrard Revolution.

During the 2017 summer transfer window Sevco claimed to have splashed out around £10m on transfer deals with Celtic spending around £7m.

Even with turnover within touching distance of £100m no responsible club would dream of blowing £70m on transfer fees!

Dingwall was a favoured media ‘go-to’ guy during the liquidation crisis of 2012 where it was always predicted that the club would survive.

Fan ownership has been one of his aims with the Rangers Supporters Trust and Club 1872 although it’s believed that monthly contributions have dipped significantly with income down to less than £30,000 per month.

While fans dream of investment the reality is that as long as Dave King is involved not a penny will come into Ibrox through a share issue.

Soft loans appear to have dried up with the club forced to turn to Close Brothers for a £3m loan with onerous charges to keep the lights on for the Murty Revolution.
