Lee McCulloch has told his old team-mate Lee Wallace that his Sevco career is over.

Six years ago the two men turned down lucrative offers to move elsewhere as they TUPE’d over to Sevco as team-mates like Allan McGregor, Steven Naismith and Steven Whittaker walked away.

Wallace was suspended by the Ibrox club following an incident with Graeme Murty after losing 4-0 to Celtic in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup at Hampden.

That eventually led to being fined four weeks wages with the former Hearts defender launching an appeal against that to the SPFL.

The two Lee’s shared dressing rooms at Annan, Peterhead and Elgin as Sevco launched themselves into the Scottish Football League but there is no sign of sympathy from McCulloch to his old team-mate.

Writing in the Evening Times McCulloch said:

LEE Wallace still has a year to run on his Rangers contract but I don’t think we will be seeing him play for the club again after he appealed his fine.

I don’t know the full situation about what happened at Hampden and what has happened since but I thought it was a little bit strange that he appealed it.

He obviously wants to prove his innocence, if you like, but the fact that he has appealed it would indicate that he is expecting to leave Rangers this summer.

Mark Warburton axed McCulloch in 2015 after Sevco lost out to Motherwell in the Premiership play-off.

After moving to Kilmarnock as a coach the former Wigan ace took over as manager last summer but was sacked after eight league games with Steve Clarke taking the Ayrshire side into fifth place.
