Moussa Dembele and Odsonne Edouard kept their World Cup celebrations short and sweet.

A 4-2 win over Croatia earned France their second World Cup win after a lively encounter in Moscow.

Throughout the match thousands watched and celebrated across Paris but 700 miles north the Celtic strikers were a little more laid back.

Edouard was last capped at u-17 level while his older team-mate at Celtic has been a regular in the u-21 side and been named in a couple of full international squads.

Despite the obvious ability of Croatia and some horrendous decisions from referee Nestor Pitana France were worthy winners of the tournament after seeing off Argentina, Uruguay and Belgium in the knock out phase to reach the final.

Didier Deschamps won the trophy as a player in 1998 with the current squad young enough to create a dynasty of success starting with the European Championships in 2020.

Long before then and while their countrymen celebrate the Celtic duo will be looking to help their club through the qualifying stages of the Champions League starting with the first round return leg against Alashkert with the hoops leading 3-0 from the first match in Armenia.
