Celtic’s International Champions Cup semi-final against Chelsea is to be shown live on Facebook. The winners will play Bayern Munich.
The young hoops u-14 version beat Atletico Madrid 4-2 last night to book their place in the semi final of the 24 team tournament.
Eight European clubs were invited to join the top 16 clubs in the USA with the competition running alongside the ‘full size’ event featuring Paris St Germain, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Manchester United and others.
Celtic finished ahead of DC United and the ICC All Stars to lead Group 2. With the investment in youth football in the USA that achievement shouldn’t be overlooked with the hoops beating DC United 2-0 and hammering the All Stars 4-0.
Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool failed to reach the last eight.
After a day out at Disney on Thursday the young hoops turned on the style to beat Atletico 4-2 with goals from Brooks 2, Hepburn and Adams. Chelsea beat Seattle Sounders 2-1 to reach the last four.
