Keiran Campbell and Broque Watson have left Celtic.

Both of them were on the fringes of the Development League squad last season but didn’t have their contracts renewed.

Watson has signed for Motherwell while Campbell is weighing up a couple of offers.

Both players scored in Celtic’s dramatic 4-0 win over Sevco at Ibrox in the final of the 2016 Glasgow Cup Final.

Campbell was able to play another season at u-17 level, picking up another Glasgow Cup winners medal from the 2-1 win over Sevco at Firhill.

The current set up in Scottish football of having to jump from u-17 to Development/Reserve level makes for a d at a crucial difficult transition in players’ careers.

Next season the Development League will be rebranded a Reserve League but will only consist of 16 matches in the 17 team league.

In the Irn-Bru Cup, for the second year running Celtic have been drawn away to Annan Athletic.
