Celtic season ticket holders have sold out the match against Sevco on September 2.

After the Ibrox club announced that they were reducing Celtic’s allocation down to less than 1,000 the hoops decided to do the same.

With 7,000 additional tickets available for the match Celtic season ticket holders were given the chance to buy up two extra tickets with the extra allocation snapped up in just over an hour.

Rather than wait for Sevco to pay up and budget for vandalised toilets Celtic have picked up over £300,000 in ticket sales for the fixture.

Under Brendan Rodgers Celtic have racked up nine wins and two draws against three different managers while scoring five goals in three matches with a four also on the charge sheet.

Steven Gerrard is likely to be in charge of Sevco for the match with the rookie boss taking in his first Glasgow derby from the dug out surrounded by 58,000 fans singing You’ll Never Walk Alone to make him feel at home.
