Jeffrey Bruma has revealed that he is in the dark about alleged interest from Celtic.

Since the weekend the Wolfsborg defender has been the subject of intense speculation linking him with a move to Celtic. Most of the speculation has originated on twitter but has been picked up on by the German media.

With a fee of £7m being reported despite managing just 11 appearances last season Bruma would seem to be a highly unlikely transfer target.

I have read about Celtic’s interest in me but nobody has spoken about it, either with me or with my agent,” he told The Sun.

I am under contract with Wolfsburg, and I don’t want to talk a lot about my future.”

The 26-year-old joined Chelsea in 2008 from Feyenoord and made just over a dozen appearances for Chelsea and Leicester before moving to Hamburg then PSV Eindhoven.

On 2016 Wolfsborg spent £6m to take him to the Bundesliga but he has failed to earn a regular place.

Celtic are expected to bring in a central defender before the transfer window closes and are believed to be in talks with Aberdeen about signing Scott McKenna.

Sevilla sporting director Joaquin Caparros has expressed interest in signing Dedryck Boyata.
