Sevco have appointed Julian Juul Wolhardt to their board of directors.

Typical of Dave King’s transparency and accountability policy the appointment was picked up through Companies House with no announcement made on the company website.

Wolhardt’s name first came to light in June 2017 when he helped pay off Mike Ashley when he bought up the Sports Direct shareholding along-with Club 1872.

Ashley picked up 27p per share for shares that he bought for 1p in 2012, collected a £3m payment for binning the merchandise contract with the new deal allowing him to match any aspect of a replacement deal set up with a third party.

Last week King announced plans for a £12.6m share issue at the end of this month with one of Wolhardt’s Hong Kong based trust’s involved in the new issue.

Alastair Johnstone was announced last November as someone with significant interest in the club, the SFA has still to approve Johnston to be a director.

Alongside King, Johnston was a director, at one stage chairman, in the old Rangers Football Club within a year of administration.

Despite being the second biggest shareholders in the Company Club 1872 aren’t represented on the board of directors.
