Tom Rogic has scored plenty of spectacular goals for Celtic but on Saturday he netted probably his most acrobatic!

Hampden cup ties and derby matches are usually graced by spectacular strikes from the Australian with another derby clash- Partick v Celtic- treated to the Rogic treatment at the weekend.

As Cristian Gamboa raced towards the by-line Rogic headed for the penalty box, when the ball was cut back he adjusted his footing to send his shot past Cammy Bell to put Celtic 3-1 in front.

That goal sealed Celtic’s place in the quarter final draw where they came out the hat away to St Johnstone.

After having last season extended into July due to the World Cup Finals in Russia Rogic looks as if he is getting close to his top form again.

Away to AEK Athens he made a couple of his trademark runs into the penalty box but the accuracy was just missing from his attempts on goal.

This week Rogic’s focus turns towards the Europa League and Celtic’s play-off tie away to Suduva.
