Celtic fans reveled in Kenny Miller’s misery as the hoops got the domestic campaign off to a satisfying start.
The former Sevco striker lasted 77 minutes in his role as player before retreating to the dug out to continue with the other part of his job.
In-between important Champions League qualifiers Celtic eased into a 3-1 lead before the hour mark to welcome Livi into the top flight and Miller to the cruel world of management.
Livingston’s consolation came with Miller watching from the dug out.
Kenny Miller subbed by Kenny Miller. Kinda says it all!

Just watching Kenny Miller. The amount of instructions he’s issuing is ridiculous. Must be a nightmare to play with. This set up has failure written all over it. Certs for 12th place.

why is Kenny Miller kidding himself on thinking he can still play

Our possession, pace and movement have been sublime in the first half. Livingston are having a torrid time. It was nice to see Celtic Park give Kenny Miller a homely welcome too. The perma-tanned prick has had hounders from kick off.

Kenny Miller is the adult equivalent of the mate who owned the football so got to play wherever he wanted (and was shite)

A win win for Graeme Murty so far today – his team Celtic coasting and Kenny Miller getting gubbed.

So Kenny Miller chose not to play after all today.

On the morning of the match the Livingston boss had been reliving his Ibrox departure to his favourite newspaper triggered by reactions to a 4-0 Scottish Cup defeat from Celtic.
Keen to portray himself as the wronged party Miller made vague references to people behind the scenes at Ibrox trying to force him out.
That me-me-me attitude was obvious in his display against Celtic today. When he does decided to restrict himself to the dug out the odds on Livingston’s survival may just become slightly more favourable.
Over the last two seasons at Ibrox Miller was unable to halt the hoops as another of his former clubs begin the campaign towards eight-in-a-row with a win.
