With less than 48 hours to go until the transfer window closes Brendan Rodgers is chasing three new signings- as well as a replacement for Moussa Dembele if he moves to Lyon.
The Celtic boss has cut a frustrated figure over the last couple of weeks as various transfer targets have moved elsewhere.
The hoops have still to add a single new face to their first team squad with summer signings Odsonne Edouard, Scott Bain and Emilio Izaguirre all previously at the club.
With a Europa League tie tonight and a derby clash against Sevco coming up on Sunday Rodgers will take a back seat as other members of the club concentrate on recruitment.
According to the reliable Stephen McGowan in the Daily Mail:
In the market for a right-back, central defender and midfielder, Rodgers has lodged an enquiry for Stoke City’s Austrian full-back Moritz Bauer, while Leicester’s £13m defender Filip Benkovic and Manchester City midfielder Douglas Luiz are also loan targets.
How many of those targets are delivered will have a major bearing on Celtic’s season with new faces needed to boost morale in the dressing room and among supporters.
