Graham Arnold will discuss the future of Daniel Arzani when he meets with Brendan Rodgers this week.

The new boss of the Australian national side is currently hosting a training camp in Turkey as he gets familiar with his squad.

Arzani appeared as a substitute in all three World Cup matches in Russia before being transferred from Melbourne City to Manchester City.

That was followed almost instantly by a two year loan deal to Celtic but after being left out of the Europa League squad Arnold is hoping for good news about the teenager’s development.

Speaking to The Sun he said:“Daniel’s in great shape. He’s looked excellent in training.

I will be in Scotland on Wednesday or Thursday. I’m meeting Brendan and will find out more.

I do know Celtic rate him very, very highly. He’s only been there two weeks and needs a little bit of time to settle

“I’m sure the plans Celtic have will be great for him.”

Since joining Celtic Arzani has played for an hour in a Reserve League match against Hamilton Accies.

With Lewis Morgan returning to fitness and Mikey Johnston getting more first team chances Arzani has plenty of competition to force his way into Rodgers’ plans.
