Obsessed Kris Boyd has finally shut up about Celtic- and transferred his anger/hatred to Aberdeen supporters.

Following Celtic’s 2-1 defeat at Kilmarnock it was almost impossible to avoid the views of Stevie Clarke’s unused substitute as he shared his wishes about the developing ‘crisis’ at Celtic.

Message board rumours of dressing room splits and players not wanting to fill the jersey were given air time with barely a sideways glance to the significance of the result for the team that actually pays Boyd a wage.

With Celtic winning in midweek at St Johnstone it seems that the wind has been taken from Boyd’s sail as he turns his anger towards Aberdeen supporters.

Everyone in football recognises the sacrifices that the Dons fans make to support their team- without resorting to the carnage that Manchester endured in 2008 when Boyd sat on a bench watching Walter’s bus parkers trying to pinch the UEFA Cup.

The SPFL has been panned from almost all sides- including two of the semi-finalists, a number of MSP’s and Scotrail- but when there is someone fully supportive of their decision to weigh the semi-final schedule all in favour of Boyd’s favoured tribute act.

“Aberdeen and Hearts are up in arms over kick-off times, venues and no doubt the price of  pies at the national stadium,” the former Portland Timbers ace told The Sun.

Aberdeen, especially, have a cheek. It’s the police who want their match with Rangers done and dusted because a minority among the Dons fans cannot behave themselves.

Police would prefer they didn’t have them for a 7.45pm kick-off.

And even if the start HAD been later, they’d have moaned about that too because it would have meant getting back to the Granite City in the early hours of Monday morning.

It’s also worth pointing out that every time Rangers and Celtic are on league duty at Pittodrie, their fans have to get to Aberdeen for a lunchtime kick-off.

You don’t see them hurling their toys out the pram.

I’ve been there with Dons supporters. Their hatred for Rangers is truly staggering.

So if the police want them packed up and shipped out long before 7.45pm then they will just have to suck it up.”

Perhaps if Aberdeen fans expressed their hatred on Catholics Boyd would be less likely to comment on the matter.
