Jack Aitchison was on the goal trail as Scotland’s u-19 side beat Poland 3-1 yesterday.

The young striker moved on loan to Dumbarton last week and was joined in Poland by six of his Celtic team-mates.

Ryan Mullen, Robbie Deas, Stephen Welsh and Daniel Church were in defence, Kerr McInroy in midfield with Ewan Henderson coming off the bench.

Under the guidance of Billy Stark the Scotland u-19 side are undertaking a week long training stint including two friendly internationals ahead of the start of the European Championship qualifiers.

The Scotland commitments have meant that two of Celtic’s Reserve League matches have been postponed with the Reserve side effectively the u-19 team.

Tommy McIntyre’s side are scheduled to be back in action on Monday, September 17 when they take on Aberdeen at Cappielow.

Mikey Johnston was the only Celtic player in the Scotland u-21 side that beat Andorra 3-0 at Tynecastle last night, it seems strange that Calvin Miller was left out of a squad that saw Young McCrorie captain Scotland.
