Paul Gascoigne once again demonstrated that he will stoop to any level to pick up the bigot pound.

Last night a video emerged on twitter of the former England star yelling ‘F*** the Pope’ to the delight of a group of Ibrox fans at one of his roadshow events.

Tina Turner’s song was adopted at Ibrox in the early nineties with the predictable add-ons to give it that special touch.

At one stage Dave Murray withdrew it from the pre-match routine with Tina Turner refusing many offers to appear at Ibrox to sing the song in person.

Gascoigne has a long history of bigotry, in his first Ibrox appearance, a July friendly against a team from Romania he pretended to play a flute after scoring and was instantly given hero status.

With his life descending into alcoholism he has become ever willing to play along with various events where playing the flute and pandering to the bigot pound is top of the agenda.

This weekend former Sky Sports anchorman David Tanner will be hosting ‘events’ with Gascoigne at the Edinburgh and Glasgow Hilton Hotels.
