A video has emerged of the incident outside Murrayfield where a Hearts fan hit a 70-year-old woman in the face with a bottle.
The incident has attracted condemnation from Hearts fans with further evidence of their attitude shown on the video.
As the thug returns to his friends one woman is seen telling him that ‘You’re hitting your own’.

That comment reflects the attitude of many Hearts fans with some of the slogans hear on the video clip again demonstrating that hatred of Catholic’s isn’t restricted to the west of Scotland.
Trips to Tynecastle for Celtic supporters is often surrounded by the threat of violence from the locals.
In 2011 Neil Lennon was attacked by a Hearts supporter who was cheered by his fellow fans as he was led away by the police.
Hearts didn’t receive any punishment from the SFA or SPL following that attack on the Celtic manager.
