It seems that the SPFL are attempting to push Celtic supporters into a move to Murrayfield on October 28 for the Betfred Cup semi-final against Hearts.

Five days ago the SPFL were contractually obliged to host two semi-finals at Hampden with Police Scotland happy with that arrangement, this afternoon word is leaking out from Hampden that the Celtic match will be switched to the capital.

The SPFL have always given the impression of having rules that are up for negotiation with the latest development very predictable after the Murrayfield idea was floated before the Hampden double date was announced.

Hearts have pushed constantly for a change with Police Scotland joining in the campaign last night.

If they want a change it can be played on Saturday November 3 at Hampden, a date set aside for the two clubs to meet on Premiership duty at Celtic Park.

Until last November Murrayfield was Hearts’ home ground. Handing them an advantage and sending a wedge to Hamish and the egg chasers at Murrayfield isn’t an option.

The Celtic board have been in on the talks since last Thursday after the semi-finalists were known.

They can’t allow the match to be moved from Hampden, any change has to be opposed with the same intensity Budge has been bleating about since she left the meeting with the SPFL.

Now that we know that nothing is contractually obliged anything can be negotiated with Doncaster and his cronies.
