has been told that he won’t play again this season.

Celtic have received the results of a second scan on his injured knee which confirms cruciate ligament damage.

Arzani picked up the injury when he slipped 20 minutes into his Celtic debut during the 5-0 win over Dundee on Wednesday night.

The medical teams at Celtic and Manchester City will now liaise over his recuperation which will take place at the Etihad Village.

Celtic signed the teenager on a two season loan deal in August after City had signed Arzani from Australian side Melbourne City.

Arzani was the youngest player to take part in the World Cup Finals in Russia but will now have to write off the remainder of this season after just 20 minutes of first team action.

Eboue Kouassi faces a similiar lay off after being injured during Celtic’s 3-0 Betfred Cup semi-final win over Hearts at Murrayfield.
