Olivier Ntcham is being lined up for an international switch to Cameroon which could cause havoc with Celtic’s European qualifiers.

According to a report in The Sun, Cameroon, now managed by Clarence Seedorf, have identified the Celtic midfielder as a potential recruit to their cause.

Ntcham has played for France at various levels but can switch nationality before making his full international debut with both of his parents coming from Cameroon.

Seedorf’s main goal is to make an impact in the 2019 African Cup of Nations which Cameroon will host.

The tournament is normally played in January and February but due to the non-release of players the competition has been switched to June and July and expanded for 16 teams to 24.

UEFA qualifiers start in the second week of July with Celtic’s preparations beginning in late June which would make Ntcham a doubt if he opted to switch from France to Cameroon.
