Chris Sutton has kept his penalty debate rumbling on with Michael Stewart.

At Murrayfield last week the two men were on BT Sport duty for the Hearts v Celtic match with the hoops awarded a penalty when Oliver Bozanic tripped Ryan Christie at the edge of the penalty box giving Willie Collum an easy decision to make.

Yesterday there was a similar incident in Aberdeen’s 2-1 win away to Kilmarnock.

With absolutely no threat to the Aberdeen goal Shay Logan decided to play the hard man with a silly lunge at Chris Burke racing away from goal on the touchline.

It was a clear penalty with the only issue up for debate the intelligence of Logan for diving into the challenge. Bobby Madden rightly pointed to the penalty spot.

The penalty did lead to one moment of hilarity as veteran striker Kris Boyd acted like a demented teenager high on Buckie after scoring his first Premiership goal of the season.

Aberdeen did have the last laugh when they hit back with two goals to take full points with Boyd, looking exhausted, substituted after 73 minutes.
