When Hollywood came to Paradise

Hollywood met Paradise yesterday as Martin Compston and James McAvoy watched Celtic reinforce their place at the top of the SPFL.

The bhoys from Greenock and Glasgow have made their mark on the silver screen but regardless of the success that they achieve a certain sporting institution will always be close to their heart.

Both men have turned out for Celtic in charity matches but are unlikely to be in Brendan Rodgers’ plans for the January transfer window. On the pitch there were some relatively new faces making their mark with Mikey Johnston scoring twice to add to the goal that he scored in the midweek win over Motherwell.

Almost as impressive as the goal hero was Anthony Ralston who was making his second appearance of the season. After the match Brendan Rodgers announced that Kieran Tierney, Odsonne Edouard, Dedryck Boyata and Mikael Lustig will be available for Wednesday’s match at Aberdeen which is quickly followed by a trip across the city to Ibrox.
