Marc Crosas has joined in the celebrations for Celtic’s Betfred Cup win over Aberdeen.

The Catalan has now retired from playing but fondly recalls his time in Glasgow, joining the club directly from Barcelona.

Although his appearances were limited he did pick up a League Cup winners medal from the 2009 League Cup when goals from Darren O’Dea and Aiden McGeady saw off the old Rangers club despite being up against players recruited on disguised remuneration schemes.

Crosas quickly took to the fan culture around Celtic and became the first top team player to join twitter- communicating with supporters before social media became stage managed.

Despite leaving Celtic to play in Russia, Mexico and Tenerife Crosas has kept a close eye on his old club and the liquidation of their former rivals.

Despite the glut of trophies and celebrations it’s clear than Crosas and the Celtic support still cherish every single success that the club enjoys.
