Chris Sutton joined the condemnation of Willie Collum after his shocking performance in Celtic’s 4-3 win at Aberdeen.
Scotland’s leading referee awarded one debatable penalty, one outrageous one and decided that an over the ball attack on Ryan Christie’s leg was only worth a yellow card.
Funny old game and fair play to Sinclair and Edouard so inconsistent this season coming good today???????? Another refereeing shocker things need to change… great advert for the Scottish game????????

Collum’s ‘look-at-me’ style of refereeing has long annoyed players and supporters as he displays contempt and arrogance in equal measures against everyone else on the pitch. His first flashpoint came in the 24th minute when Niall McGinn went down at the edge of the penalty box after firing the ball across goal. Penalty Collum decided.
Before the first half was completed Christie was lucky to avoid a broken leg when McGinn slid in dangerously 25 yards from goal. Collum’s biggest error was still to come and arrived seven minutes from the end with Celtic leading 2-1.
With no chance of reaching the ball Graeme Shinnie launched an incredible dive, rather than book the Dons skipper Collum pointed to the penalty spot. Although Sam Cosgrove equalised Celtic battled back to win 4-3 despite being on the end of some incredible decisions from Scotland’s top referee.
