Timothy Weah has snubbed a move to French side Amiens and is expected to join Celtic on loan next week.

The Paris Saint Germain striker recently indicated that he wanted to go out on loan in January then promptly followed 14 Celtic players on Instagram.

Half a dozen French sides have been linked with Weah but according to a report in The Sun he has decided to spend the rest of the season at Celtic.

TIMOTHY WEAH is set to snub a late offer from Amiens to seal a loan deal with Celtic.

The French side have launched a last-gasp bid to hijack USA hitman Weah’s six-month move to Celts.

Brendan Rodgers was coy about the speculation when he was asked about Weah following the win over Aberdeen on Wednesday.

The hoops boss is looking to bring in two strikers during the January transfer window with the 18-year-old PSG striker identified as third pick- the position that Odsonne Edouard took up when he made the same move in August 2017.

With Moussa Dembele sold to Lyon and Leigh Griffiths out of consideration Edouard is now the only striker available to Rodgers although Mikey Johnstone did score three goals in the recent wins over Motherwell and Dundee.
