Karamoko Dembele was one of the stars of the show as Celtic beat Queens Park 5-0 in the Glasgow Cup at Hampden.

The 15-year-old isn’t allowed to play in the Reserve League but was allowed to showcase his ability in the Glasgow Cup which is an u-20 competition this season.

Dembele scored Celtic’s fourth goal of the night, either side of goals from Wallace Duffy after Jack Aitchison and Armstrong Oko-Flex had scored an early double.

Queens Park hit the bar in the seventh minute but there was an offside flag raised, within a minute Celtic were in front when the home keeper blundered with a pass back allowing Aitchison to net from a tight angle.

In the 15th minute Dembele came in off the right flank, when his shot from 15 yards was blocked Oko-Flex was quickly onto the rebound and putting the ball in the net.

On the half hour Duffy scored his first of the night, Kerr McInroy sent in a brilliant inswinging free kick from the left that Duffy smashed high into the net from inside the six yard box.

Just before the interval Aitchison and Daniel Church opened up the Queens defence, the ball was squared to Oko Flex who in turn laid it off to Dembele who made no mistake.

The second half was lit up by some impressive skills from Dembele and Armstrong-Flex, in the final minute Dembele hit the bye-line on the left with his cross into the six yard box headed home by right-back Duffy.

CELTIC: Mullen; Duffy, Welsh, Bell (McQueen 79), Church; Coffey (McLaughlin 68), McInroy, Robertson (Diver 68); Dembele, Aitchison, Oko-Flex (Caffery 79).
