Fernando Fonseca is the latest right-back linked with a move to Celtic.
The 20-year-old’s name first appeared on the transfer thread on Kerrydale Street and has been picked up by The Sun who have placed a £2m price tag on his head.
With just three appearances this season for the Porto reserve side in the Second Division it is hard to imagine Fonseca being any better than Anthony Ralston who played in Saturday’s win over Airdrie United/Clydebank.
Last season Fonseca made 19 appearances on loan at Estoril as they were relegated from the top flight, according to The Sun those performances prompted a £2m bid from Juventus that was rejected. In the close season Porto signed Saidy Janko from St Etienne then sent him on loan to Nottingham Forest.
Earlier in the transfer window Celtic were linked with Timothy Castagne of Atalanta and Olympiakos defender Omar Elabdellaoui.
