Speculation that Lewis Morgan is a loan target for Hibs has reignited the John McGinn debate.
Whenever Brendan Rodgers leaves Celtic the saga of the Aston Villa midfielder is sure to be debated.
With a year left in his Easter Road deal Hibs had to cash in but for much of the summer it seemed that Celtic were the only club bidding for McGinn.
He needs the game time and would do well under Lennon for a few months.

Why would Celtic help Hibs after what they did with McGinn.

Petrie deserves nothing from us but contempt. And Scott Allan on loan.

Lol at Sellick fans moaning about McGinn. You wouldn’t pay the fair price and we’re out manoeuvred by Aston Villa.

Looks more that likely to go to Sunderland. Would be a decent move to Hibs for the boy , we get a decent player and Celtic get a better player back after his Loan deal

Not good enough for Celtic. Loan would be good.

Despite the previously harmonious relationship between the two clubs that had allowed Scott Allan, Efe Ambrose, Kris Commons, Anthony Stokes and Liam Henderson head east on loan the McGinn move dragged on.
Rodgers’ frustration boiled over on the eve of the Champions League qualifier with AEK Athens when it emerged that the player was in Birmingham for talks with Villa, during the home tie with AEK the transfer was announced.
It was the manner of negotiations that upset Rodgers as much as missing out on the player with a long running feud between Peter Lawwell and Rod Petrie at the heart of the matter.
During the summer Hibs were credited with an interest in taking Allan and Mikey Johnston to Easter Road, now it seems that Morgan could be the latest pawn in a power game between the two clubs.
