Ally McCoist and Kevin Thomson found safety in numbers as they attempted to take Chris Sutton to task over Alfredo Morelos and the SFA.
In any other country in the world the Colombian would have been red carded against Celtic on December 29 or subjected to retrospective punishment.
Three weeks after his serious of assaults on Celtic players ‘El Buffalo’ was given the all-clear to play against Kilmarnock and responded with a superman lunge to push the ball into the net to earn a booking. If he had only used one hand he might have got away with it.
“Only in Scotland can you volley someone like that and say it’s not brutal.”
“Brutal is a strong word.”
“YOU’VE GONE MAD! YOU CAN’T STAND THERE AND VOLLEY SOMEONE!!!”

McCoist has taken on the Derek Johnstone mantle of never criticising anything from Ibrox with Sutton making one famous radio appearance with the Ibrox cheer-leader on Radio Clyde.
Thomson is part of Craig Mulholland’s Academy set up working on the next generation of Andy Halliday’s to emerge from the fabled Murray Park Conveyor Belt.
“I think it’s poor that we’re showing Alfredo Morelos and all the wee niggly incidents,” Tommo told BT Sport. “You could pick up 150 incidents like this every week.”
Sutton wasn’t wearing that, hitting back with: ““How can you say that? These are three big incidents in the game. The SFA were scared to confront Rangers over these incidents!”
