Derek Rae has provided a ringing endorsement of Celtic transfer target Jeremy Toljan.
Reports from Germany earlier today suggested that the Borussia Dortmund defender was on his way to Scotland to complete a loan deal to solve the long running right-back issue.
Reference here is to Jeremy Toljan. Lightning fast right back (one of the speediest in Germany) with good football instincts. Career took off at Hoffenheim but has stalled at Dortmund. Doesn’t strike me as someone vocal or an on pitch leader but very talented. https://t.co/QNFxxPREyJ

Rae was the voice of BT Sport covering Scottish football until he decided to cut down on the travel time from his home in Boston.
Working for ESPN and others he has covered the Bundesliga in detail as Toljan came to prominence at Hoffenheim earning a £6m move to Dortmund in 2017.
Toljan’s name was first connected to Celtic overnight on Monday with the 24-year-old seeming to tick all the boxes to joust with Mikael Lustig for the right-back berth.
Last season he made 17 first team appearances but has been frozen out so far this term.
Earlier today an Italian website claimed that Atalanta had turned down a bid from Celtic for Timothy Castagne.
