Davie Moyes has confirmed his interest in the Celtic manager’s job.

The one time Celtic defender has been out of management since leaving West Ham a year ago after a brief spell that went some way to restoring his reputation.

Moyes was rated as one of the leading managers in the UK while at Everton but after less than a season in charge of Manchester United nothing much went right for him during spells at Real Sociedad and Sunderland.

At 55 years of age Moyes remains on the radar of most EPL clubs looking for a quick fix but almost a year after leaving West Ham he is clearly open to options outside of Scotland.

I would always interested,” The Sun reported him saying during an interview with BBC 5 live. But I have got to say Lenny’s done a brilliant job.

He’s been there before and I think the job he is doing at the moment would warrant him being the Celtic manager. I really do, he’s doing a good job.”

Moyes has regularly been linked with the Celtic manager’s job, most recently in 2016 before Brendan Rodgers was appointed.

Soon afterwards he took on the manager’s job at Sunderland which lasted just one season as the club were relegated from the EPL.
