Neil Lennon has explained the time line to his Celtic appointment to Richard Keys and Andy Gray.
The Irishman should have been part of Bein Sports weekend football coverage with matches involving Celtic and Leicester on the menu.
Lennon was due to fly out to Doha on Monday evening but a couple of hours before he was due to depart he got a phone call from Peter Lawwell that set in motion an incredible chain of events.

Just over 24 hours later he was back at Lennoxtown, catching up with Scott Brown and John Kennedy and preparing to face Hearts on Wednesday night.
It is incredibly rare to take charge of a team eight points clear at the top of their league with Lennon maintaining that cushion with Celtic winning 2-1 at Hearts in his first match in charge.
Tomorrow he’ll return to the club that he took to Dubai during the winter break with Hibs standing in the way of Celtic and a semi-final place in the Scottish Cup.
