Neil Lennon watched Vakoun Issouf Bayo score his first goal for Celtic today as Tommy McIntyre’s side beat Dundee 6-0 at Station Park Forfar.

Brendan Rodgers never made it along to any of this season’s Reserve League matches but this was Lennon’s second viewing of the young hoops having been at Cappielow in December to see the 2-2 draw with Hibs.

Bayo was one of the last signings of the former Celtic boss but managed just five minutes of first team action, away to Kilmarnock, before Rodgers headed south for the glamour of Leicester City.

A fee of around £2m was paid to Dunajska Streda to secure the striker who was recommended by former first team coach Kolo Toure.

Bayo scored his goal after 37 minutes today as Celtic went 3-0 up with a low shot following build up play from Wallace Duffy.

Jack Aitchison scored the first and last goals of the day with Armstrong Oko-Flex, Tom Caffrey and Kerr McInroy also finding the net.

CELTIC: Mullen; Duffy, Welsh, Compper, Church; McInroy, Allan, Caffrey; Aitchison, Bayo, Oko Flex

SUBS: Willison, Mazis, Savoury, Moffat, McQueen, McLauglin
