The SFA have denied that plans are in place to dismiss Alex McLeish.
At 1am this morning the Daily Record confidently predicted that the Scotland boss would be removed within 24 hours.
Other publishers picked up on the story but this morning there was no sign of activity from the SFA.

McLeish has come under serious criticism since Scotland lost 3-0 to Kazakhstan with James Forrest and Olli Burke dropped for the following match, a low key 2-0 win away to San Marino.
After failing in attempts to entice Michael O’Neill and Walter Smith to replace Gordon Strachan the SFA turned to McLeish who had been out of UK club management for four years.
Despite qualifying for the European Championship play offs from their Nations League group there has been regular criticism of McLeish whose media appearances were less than convincing.
